Coach Core is a programme run by the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry and is an apprenticeship scheme giving young people aged 16-24 the chance to become the next generation of inspirational coaches.

Through training, teamwork and exercise, sport/activity can make an enormous difference in both personal and educational development. It has the potential to transform lives and engage those who are trapped in poverty and isolation. Coach Core is an apprenticeship programme improving the availability and quality of coaching, whilst creating much needed employment for young people. Coach Core increases confidence and enables the young people to have more belief in their ability to achieve in the future.

Devon’s Coach Core programme will offer a range of qualifications, along with its unique combination of learning through employment and the classroom, supported by high-quality mentoring from Lifetime Training and all the employers involved.

There are still a few opportunities available to join the team. If you know of a young person in Exeter, Plymouth or Bideford who wants to be a sports coach click here or call Will Alder on 0117 314 3068.
