People of Torbay Go For It!

Active Devon and Torbay Council have teamed up with the Tesco National Charity Partnership to encourage residents to get moving, eat well, and make healthy lifestyle choices.

Go For It is a 12-month campaign aimed at encouraging people to live healthier and more active lifestyles with a series of tips, stories and links to professional services offering help to achieve individual goals and challenges.

There are physical activity sessions on offer all over the area, listed weekly in the Herald Express which can also been found on the Go For It website.

To take part in free taster sessions, fill in the Go For It passport and take it with you to the session of your choice.

To set personal goals and targets visit the Go For It website where you can also receive help and advice on a range of topics such as stopping smoking and eating well.

Torbay's gyms, hotels, sports clubs and health centres are offering the free taster sessions to members of the public as part of the initiative.

The website contains key topics on exercise, eating well, quitting smoking, drinking responsibly and reducing stress.
