Tuesday 9th February 2016
9:00am - 3:30pm
The Riviera International Conference Centre, Chestnut Avenue, Torquay, TQ2 5LZ.

'Torbay Active Schools & Communities' is a new event on the education calendar, aimed at all Torbay schools, as well as organisations with a remit for improving health and wellbeing of young people in Torbay.

The event will be an opportunity for schools to hear the very latest national policy updates on Health & Wellbeing and Primary PE & Sport Premium from Public Health and the Youth Sport Trust, explore hot topics through a series of workshops and share ideas with a wide range of colleagues from across Torbay. There will also be a marketplace, full of ideas and opportunities that schools may wish to consider.

Each school is encouraged to send at least two members of staff, who will return to school with a better understanding of how their school can rise to current health related challenges faced by schools in Torbay.

Attendees will follow either a 'Health & Wellbeing' or 'Physical Activity/PE' strand during the morning workshops and should specify which strand they intend to follow on the booking form.

The cost of the event for delegates is £10 per person. Schools that are part of the Torbay Teaching School Alliance will receive one free place.
