Jo started her career in travel, aviation, construction and the voluntary & community sectors before moving into the NHS and Local Government. She has over 25 years’ experience in senior roles in the public sector spanning policy, strategy and front line delivery at national, regional and local levels. Jo has often worked in roles with a focus on innovation, collaboration and organisational change and is proud to have played a part in the development of a number of successful strategic partnerships. Following an exciting time at Plymouth City Council leading its Adult Social Care Transformation Programme, Jo spent 2 years in Jersey leading on transforming health and social care commissioning, primary and community services, before returning as Director of Integrated Care, Exeter. Jo took up her post in the City Council in July 2017 and currently oversees Communities, Health, Well Being, Sport and Leisure and is corporate lead for Health and Safety and Organisational Development. Jo is also Programme Director for the Exeter and Cranbrook Sport England Local Delivery Pilot.
