Develop Your Active School Strategy and Help Children Be Strong, Healthy and Happy
Working in partnership, Intelligent Health and the Youth Sport Trust have produced this inspirational video.
Narrated by Dr William Bird MBE, the video explains the chain of events that lead to better physical health and greater brain power. And sends a clear message that not moving can impact our physical and emotional wellbeing – ‘Active Children = Strong Students’.
The Department for Health recommends that children do at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day. However, well over half the UK’s children aged between five and fifteen do not achieve this.
The video highlights how teachers and schools can play a big part in helping children sit less and move more. An active school environment directly contributes to better behaviour and improved results. It also helps children be healthier and happier. And, can encourage physical activity habits that can last a lifetime.
