Providing Skills, Training and Targeted Support for 25,000 Volunteer Coaches and 25,000 Employed Coaches and Fitness Professionals – UK Coaching in partnership with CIMSPA and EMDUK
ReTrain to ReTain will support sport and physical activity professionals and volunteers who’ve had to find work outside the sector or had their hours reduced during the Covid-19 pandemic. If you’re working in an area of economic deprivation or supporting under-represented groups, then ReTrain to ReTain is ideal for you.
UK Coaching recognises that the recovery of the volunteer coaching workforce is critical to the recovery of the nation. That’s why they are providing funded support packages for coaches – whether you are a volunteer or part of the employed coaching workforce.

The ReTrain to ReTain programme, which is funded by Sport England, will prioritise 25,000 volunteer coaches who live in an area of economic deprivation or who support under represented groups. If you are eligible for support, UK Coaching will provide you with a wealth of online training courses and resources to develop your coaching skills and furnish you with the minimum requirements to encourage and facilitate your smooth return to coaching.
The programme also includes wide-ranging support for paid sports coaches, self-employed coaches and fitness professionals and employers. Employed coaches will be redirected to the CIMPSA’s website.
