Living in Devon offers us so many opportunities to access the natural environment and support outdoor learning.  These range from beach schools and forest schools to local parks and footpaths. Research has shown that outdoor learning improves leadership skills, resilience and character. Many organisations offer toolkits and resources to access the outdoors and if you want some of these get in touch with us. Do you build outdoor learning into your curriculum? What do you do or what resources do you use?

There are some great tips to help with outdoor learning if you need some help to get started. Try looking at the ones that were suggested for Outdoor learning top tips“>Outdoor Classroom Day 2019. My favourite is number 1 on the list
You don’t need a detailed plan of activities. If you can take a step back and supervise from a distance, children will be more likely to play in their own way and gain the benefits of experimenting and experiencing things for themselves.

    What’s your favourite tip?
