ModeratorHard to believe it isn’t it! But Warner Brothers and DC Comics are releasing some amazing and FREE resources ideal for young people aged 7-14 years old. They are challenging young people to unleash their inner Super Hero through the power of sport and it couldn’t be more important than now.
As a consequence of lockdown, many children and young people will have experienced a loss of routine, structure, friendship, opportunity and freedom. Some will have lost family members to the virus. These losses all impact on their mental health and wellbeing.
These resources have been designed following the principles of ‘A Recovery Curriculum’ by Carpenter and Carpenter where the main focus is to Discover, Create and Engage.
If you are wondering how you can take advantage of this free resource to help rebuild young lives please follow this LINKThe Youth Sport Trust say,
“Our WONDER WOMAN 1984 resources will unleash the power of sport to reconnect young people through fun and challenging activities that will help re-establish friendships, uncover a sense of identity and create a sense of belonging.
We want the inspiration of WONDER WOMAN 1984, our “hero for all”, to unite the whole country – families, schools and communities, following a time where social interaction has been extremely limited. Encourage your whole school community to get involved while in school and encourage your students and families to engage at home and during half-term. Help us to show this by posting your videos, photos and memories of your challenges and experiences to social media.”Click that link now! You won’t regret it when you see the Challenge Cards and read more about the concept behind this Wonder Woman resource.
