How Can We Best Support Children to Lead Happy, Active and Healthy Lives

Jo Colin is a Director of Strategic Relationships at Active Devon and is part of Sport England’s extended workforce. Jo has a wealth of knowledge and experience working with children and young people. Supporting and encouraging them to be active and have fun has always been her passion.

In this Podcast Jo explains to Gareth Dix why it’s so important ‘we all work together’ to understand and support children and young people to lead happy, active and healthy lives. That’s parents, carers, schools and communities and not just us relying on schools. Jo also discusses how physical activity, PE and school sport play such a key part in the physical, social and emotional development of children.

Whilst this Podcast was recorded pre-lockdown the topics covered are still very much relevant. For teachers, parents or carers, it’s definitely worth a listen.
