The Physical Activity Providers’ Network Annual Survey

Each year we ask the physical activity providers network for their feedback. We use this, alongside other local and national insight, to help us shape our offer of support.

Our most recent survey (January 2024) once again demonstrated the breadth and variety of activity offers, delivery settings and audiences being served. Plus, the range of community groups, clubs and organisations involved in delivering activity. Despite this diversity there were some common themes which highlight areas of key challenges, opportunities and where more support is needed.

The network told us that the main challenges that their group/club/organisation are facing in continuing to provide their activity for the year ahead are:

The network told us the opportunities they think their group/club/organisation might want to pursue in the year ahead are:

Over half of the respondents answered yes to wanting support to reach priority audiences. The audiences, respondents most wanted support to reach are:

Our workforce offer will focus on these highlighted areas both through our network offer and through our local place-based support.
