New Appointment Further Strengthens the Active Devon Board
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Lucie Hartley to our Board.
Lucie has spent most of her career in health and social care and is passionate about social justice. She currently works freelance as a qualified leadership coach and consultant. She is a fellow of the Centre for Leadership at the University of Exeter, and she runs webinars for the Senior Leaders Degree Apprenticeship Programme. Lucie is also an Associate of Devon Communities Together and has undertaken various projects relating to health inequalities. In her previous role, Lucie was Chief Executive of a large Exeter-based charity, working with people with drug and alcohol problems.
“I have seen first-hand the difference more activity can make to people who have challenges in their lives, bringing opportunities for better health and wellbeing. So I am really excited to be joining the Active Devon Board.”
Andy Martin, Active Devon’s Chair said:
“I am thrilled about Lucie’s appointment. She brings a wealth of experience that will add a new dimension to the Board’s collective capability. Her passion for our social purpose and the close alignment of her personal values to our vision is really exciting.”
Matt Evans, Active Devon CEO, said:
“It’s fantastic to be welcoming Lucie. As well as her proven leadership attributes she will really strengthen the Board’s understanding of the challenges and barriers to physical activity for communities facing the greatest inequalities. She is certain to be a huge asset to the Board and our mission.”
Lucie takes up her appointment with immediate effect.
