I joined Active Devon in January 2012.  My passion is Gymnastics which I competed in from a young age before retiring to coach and develop a successful local club. I am the Lead for the Special Olympics North Devon which provides competitive sporting opportunities and training for children and adults with learning disabilities.  My other key areas of work are developing opportunities for our programmes such as Satellite Clubs, Active Communities, Opportunity Clubs, and Sportivate.   Along with linking local communities and developing local leaders for our Informal Sport programmes such as Beginner Running and Walking for Health.  I work alongside our local delivery partners in both North Devon and Mid Devon providing links to local groups and sports clubs and working  closely with NGB’s, local schools and colleges to support projects. In my spare time I coach gymnastics to both recreational gymnasts and a SEN group.  I am a Level 1 Cycle Instructor and a Leader in Running Fitness.  I enjoy Rockclimbing, Running and Walking (especially up large mountains)!

Responsible for:

  • Planning, organising and delivering a portfolio of different active lifestyle initiatives.
  • Our principal colleague and the first point of contact for our work in Mid-Devon, East Devon and Teignbridge localities.

I can walk on my hands and back in the day could do 24 backflips in a row!
