After leaving Exeter school, I trained as a broadcast journalist and worked for BBC Radio Devon, TSW and Westcountry TV as a news and sport presenter and producer. I was also a football reporter for the Saturday lunchtime ITV programme ‘Saint and Greavsie’ and used to be the co-owner of Radio Exe. Most recently I was the communication manager for the Devon and Cornwall Police and Crime Commissioner. I currently enjoy my role as the stadium announcer for Somerset cricket and Exeter City FC. I’m a keen cyclist and jogger and spends a lot of time throwing cricket balls to my son who plays for the Devon age group team.  I also give talks about being adopted, something close to my heart, as I am adopted. I have worked closely with restaurateur Michael Caines on behalf of the Families for Children adoption charity and last year I took my family to meet my birth mother and her family in Australia – an amazing trip which also combined watching the Ashes!
